Puntin seeds and dog hair....

Darr baked the pumpkin (puntin) seeds from our pumpkins and guess who LOVES them?? You got it. The one who is soooo picky about what he eats.

Puntin seeds and pink lemonade

This is a picture of Dillon playing with dog hair. Yes, I said dog hair. Every so often Braedyn (the mountain dog) has clumps of hair fall out. This animal has so much hair it is no surprise (nor noticeable on him). What does surprise me is his ability to have it fall out right after I vacuum :) Yesterday I was doing homework with the girls and heard Dillon giggling. Usually that is not good, but he was in the kitchen with us, so I wasn't too worried. He was laying on the floor blowing on two clumps of dog hair watching it move across the floor. Then he put it on his little table and watched it "fowl down". You can't see it in the picture, but he is clutching the dog hair in his hand. And to think Christmas shopping was going to take longer and cost more this year!

Pumpkin carving....

Today we carved pumpkins. Dillon had no idea what that was all about. He played with the pumpkin seeds which surprised me. I didn't think he would touch them. He was very proud of his pumpkin that Daddy carved for him. The girls are able to do a little bit more each year. Darr did most of the cutting.
Ghost cookie "eating".

If this dog could talk he would probably say "shoot me, please". He has more toy trucks run over him then he cares to remember. That Elmo bowl spent a lot of time on his head.

Reward time part 2.....and then some...

It was Chloe's turn to make dinner, so Friday she was the chef. She made spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were homemade and she did it all on her own. Well, I helped just a bit with measuring :) She also made brownies. Meme and Papa came over to enjoy the feast.

After dinner me and Hannah were off to a Halloween Party at school. Chloe didn't want to go and it was too close to Dillon's bedtime. Also it gave Hannah some "Mom time". So when Hannah put on her cat costume Dillon wanted to put on his Big Bird costume. I have only gotten him to put it on one other time and that was for about 10 seconds. This time he left it on for maybe 5 minutes. We may stick with my idea of him being a taxidermist for Halloween and just carry the costume. We met at Holly and Ida's house and walked on over to the party. They had a good time. Lots of crafts and games to play. The bonus was a bag of candy when when we left.

Our handsome boy ready to terrorize church, or a birthday party as he calls it. No idea why.

Two out of three ready for church. Guess who refused to be in the picture??

Our pumpkin carving has been postponed until tomorrow after school. I planned on doing it today (Sunday) but by the time we got home from Sunday school, got some "stuff" done around the house, it was lunch time. After lunch Dillon takes a nap, then we head over to Meme and Papa's house. The kids CAN'T wait to get there. Especially on a "Nenna" weekend. McKenna is my niece who is there (actually with my brother and sister in law) two out of three weekends. She is twelve, but still loves to spend time with her "little" cousins (or at least she pretends to :)I'm so glad they are close to her. Growing up I had a cousin who I was close to (until she moved in 5th grade). Darr has one niece, Ida, who is in first grade (different teacher though) with Hannah. They are great little buddies. It's nice to have family that lives close by to spend time with, especially the kids.

FFF-Pumpkins....

Okay, I jumped the gun a bit last week. Unknowingly I did my own FFF theme, "pumpkins". Well guess what this weeks theme is? You got it.....Pumpkins! So I have different pumpkin pictures, mostly from last year and one of Hannah from 2006. This weekend I think we will carve out pumpkins for Halloween, so I will add those later.

Reward/Party time....

Tonight we had Meme and Papa over for dinner. Tomorrow is my birthday so it was a birthday party, but it also was Hannah's "reward". Every two weeks the girls get some type of reward. This week Hannah got to make dinner, including dessert and have Meme and Papa over to enjoy it. On the menu was meatloaf, baked potatoes, carrots and macaroni and cheese. These were all homemade by Hannah (with a little bit of help from Mom:) For desert she made chocolate cake with purple frosting. All was delicious.

Apparently the chef gets to blow out the candles!

Righty or Lefty?.....

I have always thought that Dillon was right handed. Now I'm not so sure. Tonight he ate his "apple toss" strictly with his left hand. I know Darr is hoping for a lefty so he won't be the only one. Time will tell

Fall....

The autumn color here is/was in full bloom. Yesterdays rain though made many leaves fall. Here are some pictures of "fall". Also some with the girls on the four-wheeler. It was cold enough for hats and mittens. They of course were moving, but extremely slow.
