Daddy Dearest....

Chloe was desperate for someone to play American girls dolls with her.

This is what she ended up with.

Check out where his right foot is.

I think he should stick with trucks :)

Hannah's early Birthday present....

This year Hannah really wanted a bedroom make-over for her birthday. Her birthday is May 29, but I usually have lots to do outside then, so I decided to do her bedroom now. The "make-over" took less time then I expected. Only about 3 days, 2 of which Darr was home to watch Dillon. Needless to say he's not painting "material". Hannah picked all the paint colors and bedding :)

Out of the noses of babes.....

One guess whose nose this came out of......yup, Dillon. He has been "picking" at his nose for about 2 weeks now. I thought he was just "picking" oh, say, normal things that are in people's noses. Of course not. A bead. I can't imagine how annoying that was and how far up his nose it had to have been. A crying fit and a sneeze-like motion sent the bead flying. Darr checked his nose and no other objects were seen, but like I said how far up was it???

Spring Break & Easter Pictures....

This week is/was spring break for the kids and we really couldn't have asked for nicer weather. We have had some really warm days.

On Friday we met Theresa, Charity, Mikayah & QT on the playground. Then we ate dinner at Bob's Lunch, which just opened for the season.

Here are the "April Fools" just before the race. On Saturday the girls ran in the annual April Fool's race. They ran with some friends and they all did great. Dillon peed played on the playground during the race.

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day. The kids had THREE egg hunts: 1. at home 2. at church and 3. at Meme & Papa's house. We enjoyed a great "traditional" Easter dinner at Meme & Papa's house with PJ, Donna & McKenna.
Pictures: The camera was on the wrong setting so some are a bit out of focus. As you will see Jaggar (cat) really enjoys being part of the family :)

All ready for church.

Sunday night the girls spent the night with Meme, Papa & McKenna. They had lots of fun having a sleepover with their cousin. Then on Monday morning Dillon and I picked them all up and we headed to the Fun Spot for roller skating and jumping in the bouncy houses. We met Theresa, Charity,Mikayah, Quinten and Laurie and her daughter Scout (who is good friends with Charity and Chloe). Chloe was impressed that McKenna could text and skate at the same time. She's a very talented 13 year old :) We had lunch there, played a bit longer then headed home.

Tuesday the girls had Charity and Mikayah spend the night. The girls were out playing when Jim, the farmer, came over. He parked his tractor in the field next to our lawn (that he was plowing). He said he knew we had "someone" who might like to ride in the tractor with him. Well, he was right. BUT it was not only 1 "someone", but THREE "someones". I thought it best for me to go so we, (Hannah, Mikayah and Dillon) loaded up into the tractor with him and off we went to plow the field. It is a really nice tractor. I had my own seat! Who would believe that 2 adults and three kids could easily fit in a tractor. Jim told Dillon that those weren't rocks we saw they were dinosaur eggs. He liked that. He also let them "steer".Hannah can't wait to get back in that tractor!

Wednesday we planned a picnic at the school playground with: Theresa, Charity, Mikayah, QT and Marcy and her kids Delaney,Kathan & Sawyer and Nicole and her kids Shea & Jack (Jack is Dillon's friend from preschool). Dillon's friend Joshua was also there with his grandmother and sister. It was a busy place. The weather was gorgeous! Warm with a very lite breeze. Everyone played great.

Now it's Thursday. The girls are going to the movies with Meme and McKenna in a bit to see "Diary of a Wimpy Kid". I think we (me, Darr & Dillon) are going to go out to lunch. Today is Darr's day off.

Tomorrow evening I'm heading out with some friends. We all thought we needed some "kid-free time".  The kids are ALL staying over night at Meme & Papa's house. Darr is working. Lately we have been having problems with Dillon going to bed. I hope he isn't bad for Meme.

So, that was Spring break. It's almost over but I can say we had a really good vacation.

Happy Easter....

An early Happy Easter to all. On Friday the kids colored eggs. Meme and Papa had gotten them this egg spinner to decorate the eggs. We have some very interesting eggs thanks to it. The kids loved spinning the eggs, and they didn't break....even when Dillon did it :) It has been unusually warm these last few days. The kids were wearing shorts and the doors and windows were open when we colored the eggs. I don't ever remember wearing shorts and having windows open while coloring eggs. Usually we would decorate the snow with the left over dye.
Today the girls ran in the April Fool's Race with lots of their friends. They didn't win, but did excellent. We are so proud of them. Dillon happily played on the playground during the race. I did catch him attempting to pee on the playground, but was able to stop him. *sigh*.....BOYS!!!
Tomorrow we will be off to church where the kids will be doing an Easter egg hunt after church. Then we will be going to Meme & Papa's for dinner. Almost a perfect Easter.....we just need Darr's family home (they're all enjoying Florida)!

The Salem Sneetches...

For the past 6 weeks or so Hannah has been practicing for a play called "The Salem Sneetches" which is based on a Dr. Seuss story. Not only has Hannah been practicing, but Chloe has been working VERY hard as a stage manager. Thursday was the big show. It was so cute.
**Hannah is wearing a red bow tie.
