Dillon's hat.

Lately he's been wearing it a lot.....even into Walmart. Here he's wearing it in his "boat".

This week we went to Open House. Darr was upset because he had to work and miss going but that's just the way it is. He saw Chloe's Amelia Earhart project that she did at home (and got an A+ on, might I add :) and we were able to bring home Hannah's Mount Rushmore project. Both were excellent.
Last night Hannah spent the night at Ida's house.....thanks Holly :) She had great time. Also last night Chloe & I met lots of friends including Holly, Ida & Hannah at school for the movie night. I think it was called "The Princess Frog". I was busy (quietly) chatting with friends.
Today we went to Chloe & Hannah's zumba dance recital. All the girls have been working so hard and it paid off. I don't have any pictures of the recital because I video taped it and the videos are too long to post, BUT they did a great job!
Now Chloe is at a birthday party-sleepover having a great time I'm sure. Good luck Theresa :)
Tomorrow me and the kids are going to Michael's 5th birthday party. WOW, 5 already. School's right around the corner!

This week is open house at school and the 4th graders had to do a book report/project. Chloe's book was Amelia Earhart: Pilot. The directions for this report were very specific, which I liked. No questions on how it should be done. Me & Meme Chloe did an excellent job :)

Ilness update....

I took Dillon to the pediatrician today. The coughing was driving him (and me) CRAZY. Our poor boy is/was having a hard time sleeping, won't nap and is still MISERABLE.

What's wrong with him???? Just as I suspected......NOTHING. Just a cold. The doctor said he had seen many kids with lingering colds. He thought things should start to improve after about 5 days. Today is around the 4th day. He also said Dillon (even though he's still Kenneth there.....Guatemalan birth name....new insurance cards come in May and he'll be Dillon) was the happiest, perky patient he had all day.

Dillon was asleep in bed tonight at 6:45! Hopefully tomorrow is better :)

Ash Wednesday....

No just Dirty (and sick) Thursday :)

Poor Dillon has been feeling "under the weather" since Monday afternoon. Fever, cough, a bit of a runny nose and VERY MISERABLE. I think he is so miserable because feeling sick is so foreign to him. He very rarely gets sick. He was able to ride a bike and play outside for a bit at Don & Karen's house while we waited for the girls. That did make him happy.

Last week Chloe was sick with a cough, Sunday evening Hannah was throwing up and now it's Dillon's turn. Hopefully he doesn't start throwing up!

A boys work is never done.....

Odyssey of the Mind.....

Saturday Chloe had her OM meet. The kids did really great even though they didn't come in 1st or 2nd or 3rd, but they had a lot of fun. Their "problem" was Nature TrailR. They had to make a camper and create a skit about a problem they were having. Way to go!

Now Chloe has started Girls on the Run. A great program, it's for girls in 4th and 5th grade. They learn just about everything! They exercise, learn about their bodies, nutrition, friendship and much more. On days she's not doing that she is one of the stage managers for Hannah's play.

Hannah continues to work on the play she's in at school, "The Sneetches". She is a star belly. The play is for grades K-2 and we can't wait to see it. Soon she starts softball.

Dillon continues to go to preschool and love it. Next spring he will be playing t-ball, so this year he can watch and learn :)
