Dillon had his friends Gabe (almost 3) and Isaac (just 2) over today to play. Ok, actually they are some type of cousins, but still friends! Gabe and Isaac's mother is Darr's cousin, Amanda. All three boys did amazingly well. No fighting or hitting and not even any sharing problems. Hopefully the boys will continue having good times together.

We have a very small parade in our town on Memorial Day. Dillon was less then impressed and decided to just go to sleep. Being confined to the stroller is NOT his idea of a good time.

Today we celebrated Hannah's 6th birthday. She actually turns 6 on Thursday the 29th. We got her a desk that she has been asking for and painted it her favorite color, purple. We had friends, family and neighbors over to celebrate. Dillon woke up from his nap to everyone at the party. He handled it very well. Smiled and went on his way to enjoy the party. Hannah got a lot great new toys. Thanks!!

This chair was given to our family by Darr's grandmother. She painted it and stenciled it. It was Darr's father and uncle's chair so it has gotten lots of use. It is so sturdy (obviously, it is on its 4th boy plus Chloe and Hannah). They just don't make chairs like this anymore.

Dillon loves to play outside. Needless to say he gets very dirty, as he should.

We are in the process of redoing one of our bathrooms. Actually, just "cosmetic" work. Darr striped the wallpaper today. Tomorrow we will try to "fix" the walls. Some of the walls are in rough shape due to the fact that this is a very old house. I will paint because like Darr, if I ever see wallpaper brought into this house, I will scream.

Big, Bad Captain Feathersword....

This is Captain Feathersword. For those who don't have the privilege of watching the Wiggles, he is on the show. He is not one of the wiggles, but is part of the show. Every time he comes on Dillon runs to me. Something about this guy he just doesn't like. I think it is the eye patch. The last few days Dillon has been getting "braver" though. He now gets down and tries to get close to the TV. Other then Captain Feathersword, he loves the wiggles. Definitely the dancing.

Dillon was actually dancing here. He loves to dance. Every time I would try to take a picture he would stop and stare at me. Actually he just wanted the camera.

We had our second post-placement meeting. This is a requirement by our agency. (More money). Guatemala DOES NOT require this. We have to have 3 meetings, one at 2 months then 4 then 6 months after Dillon has been home. Our social worker is great, we really like her. If it weren't for her, we might not be so willing with these ridiculous appointments. (Well, actually we would, but wouldn't be happy about them). Our original loser social worker was "let go". For good reasons. Basically she just talks to us about how Dillon is doing and adjusting. His actions spoke loudly.

She came to our house and as soon as she sat on the couch, Dillon crawled up next to her. But that wasn't close enough, so he got on her lap. Next he started going in for the kiss. She didn't notice what he was doing but Darr and I did. Something distracted him and he gave up on the kiss but he was ready! Next time we meet with her will be in July, at her office, with the girls. She may regret requesting all of them!!!
