Wednesday after the sprinkler episode Dillon was playing with his water-sand table and shook like he was having a seizure. Then he did it again. He was totally coherent and didn't even spill any of the water he was pouring. Obviously not seizures. So I brought him in and took his temperature. His temperature was over 103!! So the shaking was chills (I'm guessing). I treated the fever and he seemed okay. Thursday he still had the fever with a bit of a nasty sounding cough that kept us up most of Wednesday night so I made an appointment to see the pediatrician. Well, a couple of hours before the appointment he was fine, running around playing in the yard. So I canceled the appointment. Thursday night, again no sleep. Friday-definitely going to the dr. As it turns out it is nothing, as I thought but couldn't bear the thought of him having something I was ignoring. The dr. said Robitussin at night to stop the cough and tylenol and ibuprofen for the fever and he'll be fine. So we are still treating the fever, hopefully that will pass soon. I would like to give him the Robitussin again tonight but I'm not sure I will ever get him to take that horrible tasting stuff again! We may have to try honey. I'm sure the cough and fever will be gone as quickly as they came! On a good note, he weighed 27 lbs 1 oz. The lady that weighed him checked the scale because she couldn't believe he weighed that much! He weighed 23 lbs in March.
