Coco Key Water Park....

Louie, Dillon, Dominic and Angela.....the 4 Guate. Tots :)

On Friday we headed to Massachusetts to the Marriott Hotel with the Coco Key Water Park in it to meet, for the first time, some other families who have adopted from Guatemala. Four families met there and we all had a great time. It was nice to meet other parents of Guatemalan children.
We played in the waterpark on Friday afternoon, then we all headed to Applebees for dinner. While in the pool, Dillon decided that he knew how to swim. He was so funny, so confident that he could swim....with a life jacket on of course. NO FEAR!!! Chloe of course loved the BIG water slides and Hannah liked the "wipe-out obstacle" in the pool. We all LOVED the hot tub. Good thing Dillon's 8, because no children under 6 were supposed to be in the hot tub.....many were however:) (Dillon tells people he's 8.....no idea why)
On Saturday we played for a bit at the waterpark then headed off for our 3 hour trip home....well worth it however :) I'm so glad we had this opportunity!

First Day of School....

Today was the first day of school for everyone, except Darr....he starts tomorrow. Chloe started 4th grade, Hannah started 2nd grade, and Dillon started preschool. They were all ready to go back and Dillon was so excited to start preschool.
Our kids no longer get on the bus at our house, but now at the end of the road which is going to be difficult in the winter. We live on a back road where the road barely gets plowed, so parking on the side is going to be tough. It is too far for them to walk alone safely and honestly they don't want to. So our neighbors, down the road have offered their driveway to us. They will have it clear of snow....somewhat and the bus goes by their house, so I think that will be our plan once it gets snowy and icey.
Everyone had a good day and no complaints from them or their teachers......yet :) However Dillon did tell us he peed outside, which would've been the playground. Oh, well it wasn't in his pants!

Chloe, not wanting her picture taken, Hannah a bit excited and Dillon eating his string cheese just before we loaded up to go to the bus.

Washington County Fair pictures...

The kids all LOVED the fair this year. Dillon was able to be "free" from his stroller. He especially loved riding the Crazy Bus. Hannah really enjoyed the bumper cars she rode with Darr. Chloe loved any ride that went fast! We went a few times so we certainly got our fill of the fair :)

Now we are gearing up for school. Chloe is going into 4th grade, Hannah is going into 2nd and Dillon is starting his first year of preschool. Darr is also going back for his final semester of college, graduating in December as a RN (of course after passing his board exams :)

Once I can get some "good" picture(s) of the kids I will be having Nikki redo our blog with an autumn theme.

Nikki uses the money she makes designing blogs to help her travel to do humanitarian work. She is just amazing. For the month of September she will be doing all blogs for just $20. That's $10 off for new costumers and $5 for returning customers. SOOOO everyone with a blog, check out Nikki's blog and have her make your blog even MORE awesome then it already is:) http://www.madebynikki.blogspot.com/
